Tim, a born and raised Washingtonian decided that after nearly 30 years in the fast-paced world of logistics that took him all over North America it was time to trade in the shipping lanes for construction lanes. In 2019, he officially joined Schlecht | Wharton Construction as a new member.

With a lifelong love of building and creating—something he picked up from his dad, Bob “Big Bob,” a proud IBEW lifer—Tim always knew he’d circle back to construction. Armed with a degree in computer science and a mind built for structure (and spreadsheets), he now wears the CFO hat and makes sure the financial & Legal side of our company stays in top shape. He’s also the behind-the-scenes guy who keeps operations smooth and everyone sane.

When he’s not juggling numbers or putting out fires (figuratively, of course), Tim enjoys relaxing with his wife Kathy and their ever-entertaining collection of animals. He also loves spending time with his adult daughters, Makayla and Ellie—when their busy lives allow! A true tinkerer at heart, Tim has a soft spot for classic cars, and even took home “Best in Class” at the 2025 Portland Roadster Show with one of his prized builds.
